First Bite: Fat Face in Sacramento

I popped into the new Fat Face on 19th street this afternoon and was amply rewarded with a lip-smacking eggplant “meatball” sandwich and a spectacular, refreshing hibiscus-mint-red grape popsicle. Owner Jaymes Luu’s new digs share space with Bows & Arrows vintage clothing store (weird, but somehow appropriate) and diners will love the pretty outdoor patio area, filled with lots of flowers and mis-matched tables. If you like quirky, creative sandwiches and handmade popsicles (don’t miss the Thai tea-sweet potato or the yellow watermelon-pineapple popsicles) make a beeline to Fat Face.
