Sacramento is once again gripped by Farm-to-Fork fever, and a dizzying array of events are occurring around the region leading up to the movement’s signature (and free to the public!) Farm-to-Fork Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27.
This month’s fun foodie and farm-centric events include winery and harvest tours hosted by Revolution Wines (“get an inside look at the grape harvest and learn the winemaking process from grape to glass”), “Pedal to Plate” culinary bike tours (“we will take participants down tree-lined streets via a unique uni-bike”), and “Grow Your Groceries” home gardener courses at Soil Born Farms American River Ranch in Rancho Cordova.
The Farm-to-Fork Festival is designed to demonstrate where our food and drinks come from, and will take place on downtown’s Capitol Mall. Attendees will enjoy local food, wine and beer, as well as live music, cooking demonstrations, a kids’ zone, interactive booths from local grocers, and farm and ranch stands.
