Bakers and foodies, take note: mark your calendar on Wednesday, June 26th for a very entertaining and informative event. The Tasty Books cookbook event series, run by local food writer, cookbook author and editor Ann Martin Rolke, will be hosting an evening featuring Chef Joanne Chang, owner of four Flour Bakery + Cafés in Boston.
Chef Chang famously won the sticky bun challenge on the Food Network show Throwdown with Bobby Flay; and more recently, she baked a cake to feed 4,000 people for Harvard’s 350th anniversary.
This unique event highlights Chang’s second cookbook, Flour, too, a compilation of the most-requested savory fare from Flour Bakery + Café. Held at midtown’s Mulvaney’s B&L, the prix-fixe meal will include passed appetizers and a four-course family-style dinner based on the book.
Tickets for the Joanne Chang event are available through Eventbrite at tastybooks3.eventbrite.com for $70 per person/$100 per couple. All ticket buyers will receive a signed copy of the $35 cookbook in addition to dinner.
