We close our season with another community event on May 19th, where we invite treble voices to join our ensemble to present a demonstration-type performance in support of women’s rights. In the past year, there have been universal changes to women’s rights (abortion and contraception), and Vox Musica wants to respond to these unprecedented decisions. This is a chance for Vox to continue advocating for oppressed people. So we have created a musical demonstration to give voice to all those who feel in opposition to these decisions. We invite all treble voices who feel the need to respond to join us in performing music that calls for change, advocates for equal rights, and supports women’s rights. This event will be open to the public, and interested singers can join us for a couple of rehearsals to prepare for our musical demonstration.
