Tiny Stage – Call for Performers
March 17 - April 1no cost for performers to participate
Tiny Stage is Back on April 8th at 8pm!
Tiny Stage is a unique opportunity for local performing artists to try out new material in a respectful environment in front of a live audience. We welcome people who are brand new to their art form and experienced artists who want to get feedback on work in progress.
Artists will present short, 10-15 minute pieces. After the show, everyone will receive one-on-one critique from a panel of local artists. Think of this as a more structured open mic night – you get to perform for an audience so you can see what feels right on stage, and because the lineup is pre-selected, you know you’ll be able to go up.
WHY YOU SHOULD DO IT
If selected, the Tiny Stage experience provides artists with:
A guaranteed slot to test out your work in front of a live, supportive crowd
A kind, constructive critique from a panel of other artists to help you push your performance to the next level
A great opportunity to refine your work and meet other artists
All performing arts are encouraged; stand-up comedy, spoken word, one-person show, performance art, dance, you name it!
Performances should be 10-15 minutes in length.
No nudity and no open flames, please.
Because of the nature of our space, we do ask that you prepare work that is not too technically demanding. We can provide basic sound (bluetooth speaker) and basic lighting.
Submission deadline: 4/1/23 or as soon as all spaces are full, whichever comes first.
Tech/run-through: 4/8/23 from 4pm-6pm. You must be present at the run-through in order to perform.
Performance: 4/8/23 at 8pm, with a call time of 7pm
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
