ARTHOUSE is pleased to present “The Art of Friendship” – two and three dimensional creations by longstanding artist group Mud Mavens – at ARTHOUSE Gallery in Sacramento’s premier art destination, the R Street Corridor.

“The Art of Friendship” features primarily sculptural ceramics, enhanced with two-dimensional mixed media wall art. Representing a commingling of personality styles, life experiences and skills, they are individual pieces from a collective of artists that has been in existence for 14 years. They are exhibited at ARTHOUSE Gallery, 1021 R Street from June 10, 2023 to July 2, 2023. The opening reception is on Saturday June 10 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Mud Mavens artists come together every other week to create, inspire each other, talk about the travails of life and engage in an amazing amount of laughter. Over the course of 14 years together, they have shared illnesses, deaths, retirements from professional lives, significant events in their lives and the welcoming of new members. ”The Art of Friendship” is a manifestation of each member of the group as a snapshot of where they are now in the process of moving forward.

ARTHOUSE is proud to present this group show with its colorful Mud Mavens artists: Marcia Smith, Vicki Sarantopulos, Jose Pacheco, Paul Klein, Michele Fisher, Michael Chiechi, Lisa Culjis and Jill Kennedy.

In addition to the exhibit, the ARTHOUSE resident artists will open their studios for Second Saturday on June 10, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
