“Not Just For Runners – 5K & 1-Mile Community Walk/Run and Health Fair” (NJ4R) is an inclusive, community event full of movement, community, fun and fitness! Join us at Garcia Bend Park on May 6, 2023 from 9:00am-3:00pm for a 5K/1-Mile fitness walk/run (registration required), along with a free community health and wellness fair with sponsor and vendor tables, free community classes offered by local health, fitness and wellness service providers, along with artistic activities as a means of wellness and enjoyment. NJ4R has been created to bolster mental and physical health and wellness in BIPOC and underserved communities, by providing access to health and wellness resources and providers within the South Sacramento Community. We are so excited to have REI as the presenting sponsor and the California Black Health Network as the non-profit beneficiary for this emerging health equity event.
