Ladies Valley Landback

October 22 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$50.00

– Returning Native Lands to Native Hands –
American River Conservancy (ARC) hosts this fundraiser to give the 320-acre Placerville property called Ladies Valley to the Miwok-Nisenan members of Cosumnes Culture and WaterWays (CCAWW). With this momentous gift to the indigenous people of the region, ARC is participating in the international landback movement. You can too! This fundraiser aims to raise at least $25,000 to benefit CCAWW so they can steward the land upon acceptance of the property. With the completion of this land and funding transfer, the heritage site will belong to the local indigenous community in perpetuity. Live event includes Native American music, storytelling, nature-inspired art auction, refreshments, and local wines. Whether or not you join this live event, you can donate to this fundraiser at the event registration link: www.bit.ly/lvlb-event. Buy nature-inspired art to benefit this worthy cause from Oct 1 to 22 at this link: www.bit.ly/lvlb-auction.
