ACE Resource Network is shining a light on the complex emotions experienced by many during the holiday season with its #HolidaysAreHard campaign, which runs from November 29, 2022, to January 1, 2023.
For Those of Us with Childhood Trauma, #HolidaysAreHard – If someone\’s early years were tough or traumatic, it makes sense that traditional celebrations of nostalgia may not be top of mind. The #HolidaysAreHard campaign includes the Number Story Tree – a place for Sacramentans to reflect on their strength and resilience and flip a virtual switch to light a bulb on the tree; as well as themed messages in English and Spanish across billboards, buses, and bus shelters throughout Sacramento, that also help direct people to NumberStory.org/holidays for resources to learn, share and heal; or to call or text 988 for immediate help.
