In December, we present our beloved holiday performance, A VOX CHRISTMAS: Sacred Music for Organ & Choir. This year we decided to program music that will wash our listeners with comfort, peace, and joy, such as Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen’s glorious Magnificat. This forty-five-minute setting of the Magnificat will be some of the most beautiful music you will ever hear. Lush harmonies and stunning melodies will fill our performance venue and the hearts of the listeners. Our collaborating artists for this concert include soprano Annie Davidson, cellist Erik Urbina, and composer and organist Derek Sup. We pair the Magnificat with new arrangements and settings of holiday carols, and yes, we will close with our signature setting of Silent Night.
