Afternoon Drive Radio Personality (after 4 p.m.)

Kitty O’Neal, NewsTalk 1530 AM KFBK;
Her stylish flair and natural grace make Kitty O’Neal—voted best afternoon drive radio personality year after year by Sacramento magazine’s readers—a popular pick as a mistress of ceremonies for local charitable events. So recognizable is her face around town, some may forget that O’Neal’s day job is unseen, behind a microphone, as co-host (along with former newspaper—and current Sacramento magazine—columnist R.E. Graswich) of the award-winning “KFBK Afternoon News” show, a gig she’s held for 15 years. When not helping listeners navigate the roadways weekdays from 3 to 7 p.m., O’Neal—who also holds the title of lifestyle editor at KFBK—provides news updates and feature reporting for the popular news talk station. An avid animal advocate, O’Neal and her husband, local restaurateur Kurt Spataro, are the proud parent of four felines.
