Corner Drug Co. stood at the corner of First and Main streets in Woodland long before it could be identified by its iconic neon signage, which was installed in 1948. The business, which opened in 1897, is the third-oldest pharmacy in California. It’s owned by pharmacists Lisa and Sara Shelley, along with Sara’s husband, Erik Daniells, and has been a part of the Shelley family since Lisa’s father, Karl Hanke, started there as a delivery person in 1940.
