Spotlight: Ryan Ritter

2636

Ryan Ritter sees something of himself in the character of J. Pierrepont Finch, the brash yet likable corporate-ladder climber in Sacramento State’s production of the musical How To Succeed in Business Without
Really Trying
. “What’s similar between me and Finch is that both of us jump into something without knowing what we’re doing,” says the 20-year-old theater arts major. Full of witty dialogue and clever tunes in a 1960s time warp, How To Succeed takes a satirical stab at corporate America, offering a refreshing antidote to these tough economic times. Sac State’s Ed Brazo choreographs and directs. Performances are March 13–29 at the University Theatre in Shasta Hall at Sacramento State, 6000 J St. Tickets run $7–$15.
