A special show highlighting a fairly troubling period in our past, is being held by the Center for Sacramento History on Friday, Dec. 4. Red Menace! The Sacramento Conspiracy Trial of 1935 tells the story of 17 farm labor organizers put on trial for trying to overthrow the American system of government. Using original materials, archival photos and a lecture from UC Davis professor Dr. Kathryn Olmstead, the CSH hopes to bring to life this difficult time in our local history. The exhibit opens at 6 p.m. and the lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. Check the CSH website for info on purchasing tickets and directions to their River District location.
