Junior Achievement of Sacramento (JASAC) and Presenting Sponsor, U.S. Bank, are hosting JA Inspire Virtual, a dynamic, online career exploration experience, where over 3,000 middle and high school students will envision and create a plan for their future career success, and 80+ businesses will showcase their career opportunities of today and begin to build their talent pipeline of tomorrow.
Highlights of the program include:
- Downloadable career information, videos, and steps to take to pursue various careers in different high wage/high demand industries.
- Educators, students, parents and caregivers can access the online portal and JA Inspire Student Guide any time, from the comfort and safety of home.
- JA Inspire is available at no cost to school systems or youth-serving community-based organizations and is also adaptable for in-class or remote learning
“Building a talent pipeline across industries is a common challenge facing our community. JA Inspire is an unparalleled opportunity for all of us to collaborate to inspire and excite our young people about careers available right here in the greater Sacramento region,” said Susan Nelson, Junior Achievement President.
JA Inspire is available to students, teachers and their parents until June 8th, allowing them to re-visit the virtual platform as many times as they like.
“U.S. Bank is proud to be one of the more than 80 businesses who will introduce students to career opportunities right here in Sacramento through JA Inspire,” said Pam Maxwell, U.S. Bank Community Affairs Manager for Northern California and Northern Nevada. “We know that many students wouldn’t otherwise have exposure to such a broad range of industries and career paths in their day-to-day lives. This program will allow local students to think more broadly about their own career choices and discover new interests.”
“Partnering with JASAC as their official JA Inspire Ambassador and Keynote Speaker is exciting,” said Former Sacramento Kings Jr. NBA “Coach of the Year” and TEDx Speaker Dwight Taylor Sr. “As a student success coach and educational consultant, I understand the need for more exposure and access to local professionals who can serve as role models to our PhenomenAmazing students. JA Inspire is here to meet that need in an innovative way.”
