Dad’s, a midtown sandwich cult favorite, is expanding into the Land Park area with the opening of a Dad’s Kitchen right next to Freeport Bakery on 2966 Freeport Blvd. No details yet on when it is slated to open, but information is on its way.

Azukar Cocina and Lounge
A new Mexican grill officially opened a couple of weeks ago in midtown. Azukar Cocina and Lounge has been spinning salsa tunes for the last year, but it is also open for lunch and dinner now. It serves lunch from 11 a.m.– 2:30 p.m. and dinner 5 p.m.–9 p.m.
They have a daily weekday happy hour from 3 p.m.–6 p.m. with $3 margaritas.

Become a strawberry dipper
Shari’s Berries is seeking professional dippers who have the chutzpah to dip strawberries into vats of chocolate for the Christmas season.
