If there were a “celebrity” winery in Amador County it would have to be Renwood. The well-known vineyard still maintains its family atmosphere, but this place is far from being a small operation. The tasting room and hospitality center is a gift shop, banquet room, wine cellar and tasting room all in one. Staffed with knowledgeable and polished wine pourers who can easily talk about its collection of wine; prepare to spend a chunk of time tasting here, because of its extensive wine library. Zig-zag you way through the menu starting with its popular Zinfandel, try a reserve wine and finish up with a dessert wine. They even sell their own Renwood  cigars, which you can enjoy in the courtyard.
