Mochii Yogurt
advertisement
The frogurt frenzy continues with the arrival of Mochii Yogurt at P and 16th streets. The new yogurt caf, which opened in July, brings all-natural yogurt with seasonal fresh fruit, granola and mochi (Japanese sweet-rice dough) for topping options. Wrapped up in a cute space decorated in lavender and pink, the cafe gives yogurt a hip makeover. Mochii, 1530 16th St. Sacramento; http://www.mochii.com Sophisticated eats in the suburbs Monday is the big opening night for Hawks restaurant, another addition to the upscale Quarry Pond Town Center in Granite Bay. Owners Michael Fagnoni and Molly Hawks characterize their establishment as having Rustic elegance ⦠understated sophistication. Stylish patio centers around a reflecting pool and fire. Its menu is American cuisine with a French influence, which means a little bit of everything from burgers to rabbit. Reservations are still being accepted for opening night. The new locale is spacious, sports colors of red, green and white, and has semi-private dining space that is enclosed with curtains. It still has its deli area and a pastry case teasing with freshly made goodies. Soprattutto!,3440 C St. Sacramento; (916) 341-0905 A wine lounge for El Dorado Hills Wine lounges are popping up in neighborhoods throughout the region, and the trend shows no signs of slowing down. Lucky for residents in El Dorado Hills who get a new wine shop and lounge called Wine Konnection this fall. According to its website, Wine Konnection will serve small plates (prepared by chef Matt Woolston of Sacramento's Supper Club), 65 different wines by the glass and wine tasting events for vinophiles. http://www.winekonnection.com Prehistoric party time in Prague Restaurateurs are always trying to come up with some new concept that will get diners chomping at the bit. In Prague, the latest hot spot is a throwback to the Stone Age. Check out this new place that boasts primeval eats. Restaurant Pravek: http://www.pravek.cz advertisement
