Make It: Sangria for a Crowd

At Tapa the World in midtown, this authentic sangria is a real crowd pleaser. Made with inexpensive red wine, fruit juice, rum and soda, it’s “fruit punch for adults,” says Tapa owner Paul Ringstrom.

1       gallon California Burgundy wine
1       12-ounce can orange juice concentrate
1/2    12-ounce can apple juice concentrate
1/2    cup sugar
1       cup light rum
2       cinnamon sticks
1       2-liter bottle Sprite
Apples and oranges, sliced for garnish

Pour the first six ingredients into a large container and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Just before serving, add Sprite, and apple and orange slices. Pour into glasses filled with ice. Serves 12
