Duties: Assistant to Owner/Co-publisher. Responsible for all duties related to subscriptions. Assist in front office management and Business Department. As I’ve assisted in every department over the years, I’m the person to ask when you don’t know who to ask!
Julie Lautsch, Multimedia Director julie@sacmag.com Year Hired: 2009
Duties: Work closely with all departments to create unique opportunities with new technologies, as well as creating an online presence and identity.
Duties: I work closely with non-profit and community organizations on sponsorships and events. I am also heavily involved in planning our signature event, the Best of Sacramento party.
Duties: Overseeing all editorial projects, working with staff editors and art directors, freelance writers and a whole host of other talented people who make our pages pop.
Other: One of the most satisfying parts of my job: exploring the Sacramento region—and beyond—with my husband and school-age daughters and finding ways to share those experiences with Sacramento magazine readers.
Duties: Creates story concepts and assigns and copyedits sections of the monthly magazine including Up Front, Going Green, Health and Entertainment, as well as some features; also coordinates Snapshots.
Duties: Writer, copy editor, project manager, proofreader, public speaker (on occasion).
Other: I do odds-and-ends tasks as needed. Perhaps that is where the “public speaker” rightly falls. (I speak to journalism classes on occasion, and I used to appear on “Good Day Sacramento” regularly.) I also try to provide good customer relations with our readers by assisting them whenever possible.
Duties: I began working at Sacramento magazine in 1992, and 17 years later, with hundreds of rookie mistakes under my belt, I’m happy to say that I’m still here. I design Sacramento magazine’s editorial layout, including the cover, and work with some of the area’s most talented freelance photographers.
Other: When I'm not obsessing over page grids and the shapes of letters and numbers, I enjoy jumping on my trampoline and biking the back roads of Elk Grove while singing (off-key) at the top of my lungs.
Annette Chow, Senior Graphic Designer annette@sacmag.com Year Hired: 2003

Duties: I assist the Art Director and our design team with magazine layouts, photo research and other creative needs. I also shoot photo assignments for Sacramento magazine, sacmag.com and Our Wedding magazine.
Other: My passion is photography. I enjoy traveling and doing anything outdoors.
Duties: I provide clients with customized, effective marketing solutions from an array of print and online properties we have at our disposal; enthusiastically support and promote our audience development efforts via subscription and e-mail newsletter sign-ups at community events.
Duties: I see myself as a guide for my clients—I can help them navigate the process and create an ad campaign that will work for them, no matter what size their business is.
Duties: Managing of advertising accounts to help create an effective and successful marketing campaign.
Other: I have a 20 year old son, Erik, attending golf college in Southern California.
