On the Highway 99 North, there is a billboard sign that tempts you with pasta and garlic visions just as you enter into Sacramento County. Wholey Ravioli—found in a shopping center off the Central Galt exit—is a charming Italian nook that turns out fresh-made pastas in large portions and appropriately plays Dean Martin’s “That’s Amore.” The dining room twinkles with white lights, as does the small outdoor patio. Staff ranges from high-school servers to old-timers running the bar. Start off with a glass of wine from a local Galt vineyard and order a focaccia bread dip. Dinner prices include four courses, with soup, salad and spumoni. Traditional pasta entrees, such as gnocchi, ravioli and spaghetti come doused with a sauce of your choice. Wholey Ravioli has a large selection of chicken, meat and seafood dishes such as chicken cacciatore, swordfish,veal parmigiani. Customized pasta platters,created by the chef, include: Meat me in the Middle (meat and cheese ravioli and zita covered with meat sauce) and the Lasagna Supreme (lasagna, ravioli and eggplant parmigiani). " i've been to wholey ravioli several times and i have to say that the eggplant and chicken parm is to die for. dave fortuna is by far the hardest working man ive ever known besides my father. i feel lucky that i was one of his employees for a long time and this is by far the best dining experience that one could hope for. "
