editorial profile:

Not many trendy Mexican restaurants can boast the kind of “street cred” that Tres Hermanas has. This type of appeal is usually saved for hidden gems like hole-in-the-walls and taco trucks. But this popular midtown restaurant has a similar reverence mainly because it turns out good food that tastes authentic. The rustic-looking restaurant is a hodgepodge of knickknacks, wood furniture and colorfully painted walls. It has a large outdoor patio, which is premium seating during the summer months. On the weekends, check out the early breakfast and brunch with menudo, pozole and eggs made with carnitas. Its daily lunch and dinner menus have tostadas, tacos, burritos and vegetarian dishes that come with its hailed mole sauce. Tres Hermanas also serves seafood platters, a great milanesa dish (breaded steak) and offers its house salad dressing of creamy cilantro. Margaritas and pitchers of sangria are served here in mass; try the tequila macho, a concoction of tequila, triple sec, limejuice, sweet & sour with a roasted chile de arbol pepper. Cindy Arora

" Tres Hermanas offers authentic Mexican food at an affordable price. I highly recommend the chicken enchilada and mango margarita! The ambiance is also favorable and I prefer the patio as it can offer both an intimate setting for two or comfortable seating for a family get-together. Great tasting, authentic food; friendly staff, and reasonable prices make for a great dining experience at Tres Hermanas. "

Yes, this is a great place for delicious mexican food!

" I have eaten there many times and always take out of town visitors there as well. The food is delicious, and reasonably priced. I also like the look/decor as it appropriate and comfortable. I am looking forward to my next visit. "
