editorial profile:

Suzie Burger—an old Sacramento burger joint—has been renovated and returned thanks to the same people who brought us Bistro 33 and Riverside Clubhouse. The new Suzie Burger, on 29th and P streets, have cheese steaks, hot dogs and hoagies, and of course the Suzie Burger. The burger is manageable versus enormous and has plenty of flavor with its special Suzie sauce and a “side-kick” of pickles and carrots. Try the lemon squeezie, a hand shaken lemonade; and for dessert a soft serve cone dipped in chocolate. Suzie’s has a carhop 1950s feel to it, but sadly, no roller skating waitresses. But if you call ahead, they will deliver your order to your car. Cindy Arora

Recommended dishes: Suzie Cheeseburger $2.95. Order it Suzie’s Way (fries and soda) $2.25

" After the third time of not getting an order right, the parking is even worst. This is sad when you repeat the order. Maybe the music should be much lower and they can hear you, or have a kiosk so you can punch your own order then if it's not right you can blame yourself. The web site does not have a comment place. Maybe one day I'll be able to place an order and enjoy the food... "

" We went there during lunch hour on a Friday, and even though it was pretty busy, the service was fast, and we had plenty of time to eat and make it back to the office. We found a place to park, but next time I want to take the lightrail, only a block away. I recommend the cheeseburgers and fresh squeezed lemonade. "
