Restaurateurs have long realized that people love them some pizza. Top it with specialty ingredients and add a little imagination and diners will follow the wafting scents of marinara and garlic to try a slice. Granite Bay neighbors have welcomed Pizza Antica—in the upscale Quarry Ponds shopping center—with open arms and curious tastebuds. Whether it is lunch or dinner, the restaurant is in a constant state of motion with diners coming by to try a sauceless asparagus with preserved lemon pizza or the grilled radicchio with goat cheese and pancetta. There are 10 different pizza-styles——in small or large—and you can design your own. Pizza Antica also serves Italian-inspired entrées such as a seared calamari. The restaurant is layed out in black and white coloring with the dining room set back to allow the open-kitchen to take center stage.
