Catering to the young professionals and hipster crowd of midtown and downtown, Paesanos is a pizzeria and Italian eatery that will fulfill carbohydrate dreams while you rock out to The Knack’s “My Sharona.” The popularity of this place can be attributed to its hot-spot location in the busy restaurant row of Capitol Avenue and 18th Street. But, mainly, its success stems from its affordable foods that deliver the goods to your taste buds. The restaurant is spacious and airy with dark wood furniture and a full bar. It has an outdoor patio consistently flush with diners—who often wear oversized sunglasses and sip cocktails. The busy menu has infinite dining possibilities with oven-baked sandwiches like the vegetarian calzone, salads and a pasta collection that includes tortellini formaggio (pasta stuffed with spinach and cheese in a cream sauce). Pizzas come in 15 different culinary styles, like the Gorgonzola and Fuji apple, or you can happily design your own. Cindy Arora

" Living in Midtown, I always have so many options when it comes to picking out a place to eat. When going down the list, I consistently choose Paesanos because they are one of my favorite places to dine. I'm never disappointed when I go there. Their service is friendly and down to earth, the food is ALWAYS fresh and bursting with flavor, and the atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting. You can't complain about the price either. My favorite dish is the Pork Kahula Fusilli and their pizza is also great. Don't hesitate to pay them a visit. "
