" We had a double celebration in mind: Melissa's first photography showing at Phantom Gallery on Del Paso Blvd. and her birthday. In spite of the fact that she and I showed up twenty minutes late for our reservation, they seated us immediately. She ordered crabcake caesar salad and Prawn Linguine with tomato, spinach, lobster cream with shaved Manchego cheese. I had Crispy Duck Confit: braised French lentils with apple wood smoked bacon, frisee salad, sherry
vinaigrette. The food was scrumptious. The wine was exquisite. The service was attentive, fast and friendly. We were way too stuffed to eat desert. We wanted to take the creme brulee trio home. Because creme brulees don't transport well, the manager offered to let us take them home in the ramekins in which they were baked! I've never been to a restaurant where the staff suggests to take home their cookware. We can't wait to experience our second visit. "

" I have been going to Lucca for years to enjoy everything from Saturday night dinners to birthday celebrations. In my opinion, the two reasons why I never seem to get tired of the restaurant is due to the ever changing seasonal menu and consistently good food. I highly recommend any of their risotto dishes. I do not know how, but they always come out creamy and perfectly cooked. If you really want to indulge, order the steak frites.......go ahead, you deserve it.-Sean O "
