editorial profile:
Ink Eats and Drinks is the quintessential late-night dining detour for scenesters and locals who want something to eat that doesn’t involve a drive-through window. It has a nightclub feel to it, with deep red walls, thumping music and plenty of eye-catching tattoo-inspired artwork, such as a 1950s pin-up girl showcased on the ceiling. Large and comfortable booths make up most of the seating here and the menu reads like a list of favorite comfort foods with hot wings, chili dogs, buttermilk crusted chicken strips, macaroni and cheese with hot dog and steak with bleu cheese fondue. Ink also has a selection of salads; slews of sandwiches and if you make it in before last call, a full-bar with wine, beer and a two-page list of specialty drinks served in martini glasses. Cindy Arora
Insider tip/extra: Make your way here before 1 a.m. on a weekend night and you have a better chance of getting a booth before the crowds come.

" Three kids, two dogs, one infant, and a slew of household chores keep me steadfastly locked in-doors. When I finally do get out, I haven’t got the fondest clue where to go.
Usually, I roam aimlessly looking for quality eats. This time, I hopped on over to SacMag.com and checked out the dining guide beforehand. It was there that I came across this quality gem; Ink Eats & Drinks. Ink… sounds interesting. Let's go!
Walking in was like visiting a tattoo artist's studio. Unique works adorn the walls and ceiling, the most prominent of which is an unmistakable 50's pin-up girl. Every table was occupied when we arrived at 2:00 in the afternoon; a good sign. The popularity of this place was confirmed when the food arrived. I ordered a simple Grilled Cheese, however it was by far the best I'd ever had. My wife was more adventurous, and her spicy chicken sandwich will become my new 'usual' for this place.
On the whole, the wait staff was friendly, energetic, and quick to meet our needs. Do yourself a favor; order a Bawls Energy Drink with your meal, and you'll find yourself ready to meet the day (or night) head-on.
