" After growing up in the midwest and then living in San Francisco for nearly 15 years prior to moving to the Sacramento area in 2002, my husband and I appreciate a community as well as gourmet fine dining. A friend introduced us to the Folsom Bistro. The food is big city quality and is highlighted by the most charming hospitality I have ever experienced. Matt and Atasha Newton are an exceptional host and hostess. You have to pinch yourself to ensure you remember you are not just part of the family. Yet, you can't escape feeling like you really are related.
My father recently had major surgery and had little appetite following the procedure. We had eaten at the Folsom Bistro prior to his operation and both of my parents loved the food. After my Father's surgery, my father simply craved Matt's food. I can't explain how special it was that Matt and Atasha went out of their way to accomodate my father's appetite and preferences. This is a truly unique restaurant because of the special people who are at the heart of the Folsom Bistro. The Sacramento area is lucky to have such a special place in our Hamlet. Thank you Matt and Atasha for creating such an amazing local place for gourmet lover's and new friends. ;0) "

" I'm a Health Inspector in San Francisco and have sampled a lot of great restaurants. This one stands up to some of the best. When I heard that Chef Newton was leaving San Francisco to start his own restaurant, I thought that I would miss his culinary creative. However, I was pleased to find out that the Folsom Bistro is easily accessible from Hwy 80. It's become a much anticipated stop on the way to and from the slopes. Instead of fighting traffic, we stop and enjoy a great meal! "

" We have eaten at Folsom Bistro quite a few times. The food is so delicious and the servers are very friendly. We and some friends have pledged to ensure they stay open and are successful, so we try to eat there one Saturday a month; however, we've been seen on a couple of Fridays and a Monday! The food is just too hard to resist. "
