Upon arrival to this new chichi restaurant, you’ll discover that all five senses are instantly blitzed. Scents swirl from the open kitchen, wine corks pop, crisp décor catches your eyes and you hear the sounds of excited conversations. When courses begin, the ultimate: the taste of tantalizing food. Ella Dining Room and Bar opened amidst a flurry of foodie anticipation and —so far—is living up to the hype. The ambience is a blend of comfort and cool with communal tables, private dining rooms and an inviting bar where cocktails are made by creative bartenders. For lunch, try Ella’s version of the traditional steak sandwich. It’s served open-faced, with tomatoes, horseradish and arugula. Dinner is an entourage of small plates, appetizers from the cold bar and meat entrees such as the grilled pork chop with Pink Lady apples, and a crispy-skin duck breast. If you’re in the mood for fresh pasta, try the ravioli of mushrooms and fresh goat cheese or the pappardelle with poached egg and crispy prosciutto. Save room for a glass of port—plucked from Ella’s wine room—and a slice of gooey chocolate and macadamia cake. Cindy Arora

" The atmosphere is neither for fine dining nor could it be considered for a romantic dinner but rather is that of a noisy oversized bistro. The decor is interesting and attractive but tables are too small for the venue of sharing multiple plates with room for a bottle of wine. There are no table cloths but rather small runners. One feels cramped and forced to have converstions with others nearby. Few modestly priced wines are on the menu. The food is priced to be exquisite but is fair to average in flavor and presentation. Service is attentive but slow. "

" I have eaten at "ELLA" 4 times so far, and plan on many more. This is a Beautiful, elegant, restaurant. Ella, has the elegance of restaurants we've dined at in New York, and San Francisco. The food is fabulous. We loved sharing the small plates. The Gnocchi was heaven, shortribs devine, pasta perfection. We had a blast in the bar. The raw Oysters were the best we've ever had, and the house cured Lox were luscious. We were smitten by our server Sammy! All of the employees were very gracious, and helpful. Bravo ELLA! Thank you for a unique dining experience. "
