" I have heard both good and bad reviews of Crush 29. My advice is "don't knock it until you try it!" I have been there many times to have dinner with friends or to drink and just people watch. People need to understand that this is the new place to be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. It is not a place to come for a quiet evening or a restaurant suited for kids. The bar area is the place to be if you are there to drink and socialize. They have a full bar with great wine selections and despite the crowd the cocktail waitresses are great! They are busy but they are there for you especially Kristen! "

" I waited til the hype subsided some before going to this fabulous restaurant. DO NOT JUDGE it by the negative reviews. . . you know dissatisfied will scream and the totally satisfied customers spend their time deciding when we can return. I've eaten across the street at the new, recently opened restaurant and I still prefer Crush 29. The ambiance's gorgeous but and a bit noisy with Placer County's finest folks. From the valet to the bus person you will be glad you tried it. Grt menu, fab food "

" Dont bother making reservations!!! My girlfriend and I requested a booth and got the complete opposite. We got the smallest table...even the waiter agreed...in the loudest area imaginable. The waitress was a complete ditts, asking if we needed menus! The food came as slow as the service, and it wasnt even worth the wait, nor the price. "

" The wine and alcohol is great. But the food is over rated. My husband I went in for dinner and although the appitizers were good our meals were bad, bland, and not worth the money. We never went back. "

" I avoided Crush 29 for the first few months after it opened. It was too hyped for my taste and I was dubious the restaurant would live up to the promotion. Live and learn. I now go to Crush 29 as often as I can. Each experience has been fantastic. I have only one complaint: the place can get loud! On my last visit, I had to move my seat and come around the table to sit next to my wife, instead of across from her, because of the noise. Otherwise, we would not have been able to hear one another speak. However, the food and service were fantastic. Every course was a delight. The wine selection is remarkable. All of the prices are incredibly reasonable. The restaurant and bar can be crowded so make a reservation. A tip: the closer to the bar you sit the more loud the setting. If you want to be romantic, ask for table away from the bar. Plus, ask for Tracy (formerly of Cafe Bernardo) to serve you. She is wonderful. "
