This place is the perfect example of how we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Found in a nondescript shopping center on 56th and H Street, next to Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary and The Wienery, it would be easy to miss or dismiss it as just another place for locals to grab a quick and uninspiring lunch. But given the chance, the restaurant will surprise you. The menu itself is a medley of French, Italian and Mediterranean flavors, with dishes such as the “Arnie” eggs benedict with avocado and spinach named in honor of the Governor. The rosso, house made giant raviolis stuffed with portobello mushrooms and its house specialty smoked salmon bisque. Cindy Arora
