DESCRIPTION:<p>\n	<strong>Slow Food Sacramento</strong> presents the second
  annual <strong>Sacramento Food Film Festival </strong>– your chance to vi
 ew films that highlight the role of food in our lives\, taste the flavorfu
 l foods discussed in the films\, and better understand how and where our f
 ood comes from\, the good\, the bad and the new sustainable way.</p>\n<p>
 	Sacramento was recently named the “Farm to Fork Capital” so it only makes
  sense\, that a city of food lovers has an appreciation for food films. Th
 e<strong> Sacramento Food Film Festival</strong> brings the love of food a
 nd films together with films not otherwise available in local theaters in 
 a delicious mix of lively discussions and slow food flavors.</p>\n<p>\n	Th
 is year’s food film offerings expands to two days\, Friday\, March 15 (5:3
 0 to 10 p.m.) and March 16 (11 a.m. – 9 p.m.):</p>\n<p>\n	<strong>Friday\,
  March 15</strong></p>\n<ul><li>\n		Features an evening of food and film\,
  including the screening of locally filmed <strong><em>Quest for Local Hon
 ey </em></strong>followed by a <strong>honey tasting</strong> and discussi
 on with the filmmakers.</li>\n	<li>\n		Ticket holders then move next door 
 to the Forty Acres Gallery for a <strong>sushi tasting</strong> and discus
 sion of seafood sustainability with Taro from <strong>Mikuni</strong> and 
 Billy Ngo from <strong>Kru</strong>. The evening will end with the screeni
 ng of <strong><em>Jiro Dreams of Sushi.</em></strong></li>\n</ul><p>\n	 </
 p>\n<p>\n	<strong>Saturday\, March 16</strong></p>\n<ul><li>\n		The day be
 gins at 11:00 a.m. with an exciting food-related <strong>scavenger hunt</s
 trong> for all ages followed by films and panel discussions throughout the
  day.</li>\n	<li>\n		<strong><em>What’s On Your Plate</em></strong>? (New 
 York City kids explore the local food chain)</li>\n</ul><ul><li>\n		<stron
 g><em>A Community of Gardeners </em></strong>(A look at seven Washington\,
  DC community gardens) followed by a discussion about area community garde
 ns with Sacramento Master Gardener\, Bill Maynard</li>\n	<li>\n		<strong><
 em>Meat Hooked!</em> </strong>(Explores the rise and fall and rise again o
 f local butchers): Sponsored by <strong>Selland Family Restaurants</strong
 ></li>\n	<li>\n		<strong><em>Symphony of the Soil</em></strong> (An artist
 ic exploration of the miraculous role of soil in our food).</li>\n	<li>\n	
 	<strong><em>American Harvest </em></strong>(A candid look at migrant labo
 r)\, followed by a moderated discussion of farm workers and their role in 
 U.S. agriculture.</li>\n</ul><p>\n	 </p>\n<p>\n	Proceeds from the <strong>
 Sacramento Food Film Festival</strong> will benefit <strong>Slow Food Sacr
 amento</strong> and the <strong>California Food Literacy Center</strong>. 
 “We are delighted to once again feature inspirational films about the role
  of food in our lives and\, for the first time this year\, we will taste t
 he flavors described in the films\,” said Deborah Kruse\, Slow Food Sacram
 ento Events Chair.  Amber Stott\, CFLC Executive Director\, is also thrill
 ed to participate. She recently said: “Film is an important way to increas
 e food literacy in our community. We look forward to a full day of fun and
  learning!'</p>\n<p>\n	Saturday’s concession stand will be operated by <st
 rong>Whole Foods Market</strong>\; they will sell healthy snacks to accomp
 any the movies.</p>\n<p>\n	Friday Opening Night tickets\, which include tw
 o films and two tastings\, are $40/person\; Saturday tickets are $25 for t
 he day or $7/for an individual film. Weekend festival tickets\, good for b
