 \;s latest special exhibit\, <i>Bust! The cars that history left behind</i
 > takes a look at what are known in the car collecting world as &ldquo\;or
 phan cars:&rdquo\; those built by automakers that are no longer in product
 ion. Among the dearly (and some recently) departed will be one of the most
  spectacular failures in automotive history\, the DeLorean DMC-12! Conceiv
 ed by former General Motors executive John DeLorean\, the stainless steel-
 bodied sports car became notorious when DeLorean was arrested on charges o
 f attempting to smuggle cocaine in a desperate bid to raise money to save 
 his company\, then later rocketed to movie stardom as the time machine in 
 the <i>Back to the Future</i> series.<br />\n	<br />\n	<br />\n	<i>Bust!</
 i> will also attempt to put to rest a controversy that has long plagued fa
 ns of orphan cars: to be a true orphan\, does the whole company have to ha
 ve gone out of business\, or do retired brand names (such as GM&rsquo\;s P
 ontiac and Oldsmobile\, Chrysler&rsquo\;s Plymouth\, and Ford&rsquo\;s Mer
 cury) by companies that still make cars count? Visitors will be able to ca
 st their vote to decide by the end of the exhibit on October 21 what count
 s as an orphan car!</p>\n<p style='text-align:left\;'>\n	This exhibit is a
