Tower Records Collection

Description

After the closure of Tower Records in 2006, founder Russ Solomon donated over 200 boxes of historic Tower materials to the Center for Sacramento History, the official archival repository for the City and County of Sacramento. From November 2012 through February 2013, a small sampling of the “Tower Records Collection” will be displayed at City Hall’s Robert Matsui Gallery. The exhibition reviews the cultural significance of a small record store from Sacramento that grew into nearly 200 stores around the globe.
