The Young Americans

The Young Americans International Music Outreach Tour is coming to Sacramento Feb 7-9 for a three-day performance workshop at Town and Country Lutheran School. This song and dance company, consisting of forty-five 16- to 23-year olds will teach singing, dancing and performance to local students. On Feb.9 the entire company will perform a 2-act show, with the Young Americans performing the first act and all local students joining them for Act II. In three days the students will receive classes in voice, dance, acting/improve and musical theatre as well as performance sound & audition techniques. The workshop is open to all area students in grades K through 12. The cost is $57 for all three days and includes a T-shirt. Show time is at 7:00 p.m. on Feb. 9. Town and Country is proud to have an alumni of theYoung Americans Organization on our teaching staff. Workshop registration may be completed online at http://www.regonline.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=1173194 Tickets for the show are $10 for adults and $8 for students and may be purchased during the Workshop and 30 minutes before show time on Feb. 9th. All Youth Film and Education Day

Young filmmakers converged on Sacramento's Crest Theatre Friday, October 2 for the 19th Annual Youth Film and Education Day. The budding storytellers studied short films, learned about the future of their craft, and networked with industry professionals during the daylong celebration of visual arts.
