Stephen Sondheim's Follies The time is 1971, the theater in which the Weismann Follies (based of course on the Ziegfeld Follies), is about to be torn down. This theater hosting these follies between the 2 World Wars. 2 middle-aged couples return for a reunion that will change their lives as they face the ghosts of their pasts and the decisions that they made over the years. This is one of Sondheim's best scores with such songs as: "Broadway Baby", The Road you Didn't Take", and Waiting Around for the Girls Upstairs". |
