Sacramento Archives Crawl – A Passion to Preserve
Oct 5, 2013
10:00 am until 4:00 pm
Four Sacramento institutions will host the 3rd annual Sacramento Archives Crawl on Saturday, October 5, that will also include a special Preservation Fair! As part of the popular -- and free -- annual event, interested guests will have the opportunity to “crawl” to the four sites to view rarely seen treasures from archival collections from twenty-three Northern California institutions and take special, behind-the-scenes tours at the four host locations – the California State Archives, the California State Library, the Center for Sacramento History and the Sacramento Public Library. New this year, the annual Archives Crawl will include a free Preservation Fair at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria where professionals from the preservation community will be on-hand to answer questions and make suggestions on caring for family papers, photographs, art, textiles and even home movies.
