Rebuild McKinley Park Playground Design Day

The McKinley Park Rebuild Project will be going to area schools to solicit input from your students Friday January 11th between 9am and lunch. That evening at 5:30 p.m. the preliminary design for the McKinley Park Playground will be unveiled & feedback received at the Clunie Community Center.

Instead of an off-the-shelf playground that could exist anywhere, we will build a one-of-a-kind experience that reflects our town, this neighborhood, and the dreams of the children who play on it. Design Day allows community members to suggest architectural, historical, cultural and educational elements that are important to them. The community can decide if it wants a natural play environment or one based on a single theme. Members of the community whose children have special needs are encouraged to come out and make sure that the playground is accessible to all.
