Kurt Edward Fishback: Face Forward

Sacramento-based photographer Kurt Edward Fishback’s portrait series of artists in their studios has been a passion for thirty years. Representing thirty visual artists centered in Northern California or New York, Face Forward showcases Fishback's ability to define artists through the creative spaces in which they work. Also on display are formative examples of his ceramic sculpture, exemplifying his playful sense of humor.  On view June 25 - August 18.  2nd Friday ArtAbout reception on July 12, 6-9 PM.

Artist Talk: July 20, 2-3:30 PM (FREE) Join Fishback for a presentation on his own life and work, capturing the people and places that have shaped him as a photographer.

Portfolio Review: August 10, 2-4 PM ($10 fee/$7 for members)Fishback has taught photography at American River College and other venues to thousands of students over the years. Register by August 8th to have your photographic portfolio reviewed by Fishback, to hear his insightful suggestions on your work.

All Youth Film and Education Day

Young filmmakers converged on Sacramento's Crest Theatre Friday, October 2 for the 19th Annual Youth Film and Education Day. The budding storytellers studied short films, learned about the future of their craft, and networked with industry professionals during the daylong celebration of visual arts.
