Cinema at The State presents BLAZING SADDLES, the hilarious 1974 satirical Western comedy film.  Directed by Mel Brooks, BLAZING SADDLES stars Cleavon Little as the hero sheriff in an all-white town.  Other stars include Gene Wilder, Slim Pickens, Alex Karras, Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn and Harvey Korman.

The film satirizes the racism obscured by myth-making Hollywood accounts of the American West.  The film is full of deliberate anachronisms, from the Count Basie Orchestra playing "April in Paris" in the Wild West, to a rustler referring to the Wide World of Sports.

Tickets are available in advance online or by calling the office at 530-885-0156.  Box office opens at 5:30 pm, and doors open at 6:30 pm.
