2010 Best of Sacramento Winner - Best Restaurant in Lodi
Lodi’s Wine & Roses Restaurant, located in the historic portion of the vast hotel/spa property, has long been known as one of the city’s finest restaurants. As is typical of hotel restaurants, breakfast and brunch shine here—Eggs Benedict can be had the traditional way or spiced up with smoked salmon, wilted spinach and fresh basil, for example. On the lunch and dinner menus, the Wine & Roses salad, with persimmon, pomegranate, rose petals and field greens tossed with Cabernet vinaigrette, delights diners who appreciate flavor explosions. Dinner entrées include dayboat scallops deglazed with orange and grapefruit; Medallions of venison crusted with peppercorns; seared Sonoma duck breast with port and dried cherry sauce; mushroom risotto with lots of fancy mushrooms. The wine list is, of course, Lodi-centric; the desserts divine.
