Austerely attractive, this lounge is stark, urban and marvelously chic. The brainchild of Ali Mackani (former owner of the now-closed Restaurant 55 Degrees), it provides a pulsating feast for the eyes and ears, with bright lights flashing and techno music pulsating. Sit at the sinuous bar and order an artisanal cocktail or an absinthe, the highly alcoholic French beverage once considered dangerously addictive. In the kitchen are molecular gastronomist Pajo Bruich, serving his modern take on dinner-house classics, and pastry chef Elaine Baker, formerly with Grange.
