This bakery is a warm, convivial spot for a casual meal. It’s hard to take your eyes off the dessert cases long enough to choose your savory items. But you’ll soon discover the kitchen’s talent extends to the wonderful pizzas, cooked in a wood-burning brick oven; hearty sandwiches such as slow-roasted pulled pork on a jalapeño roll with melted Swiss cheese; and fresh, interesting salads. Dinner entrées are a little fancier (try the delicious half rotisserie chicken with parsley-chive mashed potatoes), and there’s also a nice selection of breakfast items. Save room for a slice of Princess cake or Linzer torte.
