barbecued ribs, old soul at the weatherstone

On Friday nights (weather permitting), chef Jason Azevedo fires up the smoker on Weatherstone’s patio to make these Memphis-style pork ribs. Before cooking, he rubs the meat (sourced from local farmer John Bledsoe) with a secret spice mixture that includes smoked paprika, cayenne pepper and freshly grated nutmeg, then mops them at the end with tamarind-espresso sauce.
