In remembrance of September 11th, 2001, Sacramento Community Outreach will present the Never Forget Tribute, which features a 3,000-piece American flag display and a special exhibit featuring artwork by local youth commemorating the victims and heroes of that tragic day.
September 9th: Community Flag Placement
Sacramento area residents and organizations are invited to participate in the installation of the 3,000-piece Never Forget Flag Display at 8:30 AM on Saturday, September 9th, 2017 at Sacramento Memorial Lawn. Each flag is placed in honor of a victim, emergency responder or military member who lost their life in the tragedy. The Never Forget Flag Display will stand throughout the month.
September 11th: Remembrance and Youth Art Exhibit
We invite all in the community to join us at 6:00 PM on Monday, September 11th, 2017 in the beautiful Sacramento Memorial Lawn Chapel for a special ceremony to honor and remember the victims and heroes of 9/11. After the program, we will announce the winners of our Youth Art Contest and host an appetizer reception. This evening is family-friendly, free, and open to the public.
