If you are looking for a place to get married that offers historical significance, consider holding your wedding and/or reception at one of the venues at Sugar Pine Point State Park, located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe.
The Historic Ehrman Mansion (also referred to as The Historic Pine Lodge) can host weddings and receptions for up to 140 people; the Children’s House is suitable for smaller affairs accommodating 50 or fewer guests. Both facilities are available year-round, but keep in mind that there is no snow removal in the park during the winter season. (A plus for snowshoers and cross-country skiers; perhaps a minus for already nervous brides-to-be.)
All revenue from special events—including weddings and receptions—goes back into the state parks, with much of the money staying at Sugar Pine Point State Park.
