‘Little Women the Musical’

Posted on January 15

Experience the delight and heartbreak of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel “Little Women” this January at Sacramento Theatre Company. Once a Broadway smash and now making its appearance at STC's main stage, “Little Women the Musical” translates the Civil War-era book into a beautifully scored dramatic tale of friendship, family and love. Audiences will follow the March family as they grow up together in the absence of their father, a chaplain sent to the front lines of the Civil War. Everyone can find a sister to relate to in the strong personalities of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy, just as everyone can relate to their trials and tribulations. The themes of love, loss, and wartime crises are just as relevant now as they were at the time the novel was written. Paired with dancing and singing, this “Little Women” takes on a new life and is sure to delight audiences of all ages. For more information, see here.
