Looking for something artistic to take in this Labor Day weekend? Why not stroll by the sidewalk chalk masterpieces at the Chalk It Up festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 at Fremont Park?
The three-day event is now in its 24th year of celebrating more than 200 artists from around the region displaying their talents with everyone’s favorite elementary-school medium. The festival will also include family-friendly activities, a wine and beer garden, artisan booths and live music from 30 regional groups. The event is free, so bring the whole brood and enjoy all that Sacramento’s creative class has to offer.
