Art Mix/Hip Hop

Posted on July 9

Are you ready to get hyped? Art Mix/Hip Hop is taking over the Crocker on Thursday, July 10 from 5–9 p.m.

The hip-hoppin’ evening will include live performances by FLOW Sacramento (featuring the Element Brass Band), a music video showcase presented by Sol Collective, hip-hop DJ sets by Sacramento’s best mix-masters, a DIY beat laboratory and writing workshop, wearable mix-tape art-making and in-gallery performances by Foreign Native. Shop at the Hip Hop Pop Up Shop for local merchandise and music, get schooled on the current exhibition “African American Art: The Harlem Renaissance, Civil Rights Era and Beyond” with 10-minute talks and enjoy drink specials for under $5 all night. It may be sweltering outside, but the Crocker is one cool place to be.
