Mark your calendars for July 14 to head to one of Sacramento’s hottest locations, the Handle District, to celebrate Bastille Day. The highlight of the afternoon is the popular Waiters’ Race, inspired by the famous footrace in Paris, in which participants attempt to make it to the finish line without spilling water or dropping their trays.
In addition to the Waiters’ Race, there will be plenty of food and drink vendors, live music and entertainment for the whole family, such as mimes, face painting and balloon animals. Prior to the street festival, there will be a 50-mile bike ride that begins at 1801 L St. and goes to Folsom and back. For more information, click here.
